...we depend on the generosity of others. Monetary gifts and gifts of volunteerism are always appreciated in pursuing our goal of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

YMCA Heritage Club
The Heritage Club was formed to recognize those who have included the YMCA in their financial planning. Members have ensured that the YMCA inspires future generations by leaving a legacy of everlasting value through contributions and planned gifts such as trusts, wills, annuities and insurance policies. One such gift established the Pugh Endowment, whose income and principal provide the YMCA of Greater Des Moines exclusive funding for capital projects and/or general operating expenses. The purpose of the Pugh Endowment is to provide the YMCA of Greater Des Moines with a stable financial base to carry out its mission today, while also allowing for growth in the future. Other endowments earmark youth outreach programs, health programs, education, values and more.

Volunteer
You can help the Des Moines Y Camp by volunteering to help with camp projects, lead a program, care for horses, help in the office, market programs or hundreds of different jobs using hundreds of different skills. You can volunteer either as an individual or a group. Several groups choose Y Camp as a place for their community service projects.
