Eric Jaeger

Eric joined the Y Camp staff team in 2004. Originally from Guttenberg, Iowa, Eric now lives in Boone with his wife, Marie, and has five kids: Storm, Virginia, Nikki, Madison and Jacob. He’s an outdoorsman at heart and camp is the perfect place for him. He enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. When he’s not in the kitchen or with family, he’s often in the woods or on the water. One of Eric’s favorite part about working for camp is seeing the joy of less fortunate kids when they get to eat three meals a day, sometimes for the first time, when at camp. Years ago, a young camper came up to Eric and explained that he wanted to become the greatest chef in the world because of his cooking. We may be biased, but Eric may already hold that title.

Fun Fact: As a boy, Eric grew up next to the backwaters of the Mississippi River. He and his friends made plans to build rafts and float all the way to the Gulf of Mexico!
