Jenni Besser

Jenni grew up in Central Minnesota and is the newest face to Y camp! Her love for working with youth began in 2014 when she started working for a YMCA day camp in the Twin Cities area as a Program Staff. From 2015-2018, she worked in a variety of day camps as a Youth Development Coordinator. In 2018, Jenni graduated from Bemidji State University and was an Elementary Educator for five years. Recently, she stepped away from the classroom to start her own nonprofit organization, Beyond The Boundaries, in hopes to create a bigger impact for youth and the community. Jenni has a strong passion for connecting youth to the outdoors and is very excited to serve as the Senior Director of Summer and Family Camps.

Jenni resides in Madrid with her husband, Tyler, and their dog, Beretta. Playing no favorites to just one outdoor activity, you can often find her hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking and always looking for that next adventure. 

Fun Fact: Jenni is also an avid photographer and videographer. Her and her husband even have their own YouTube channel, Behind The Blind, where they frequently document their outdoor adventures in hopes to inspire others to enjoy the great outdoors!
