Global Leaders Program (GLP)
Ages 15 – 17
The Global Leaders Program is a three-week, staff-led international leadership experience offered through Y Camp for campers ages 15–17. Participants will build leadership skills, explore culture and program design, and gain real-world experience through international service and collaboration.

Investment: The total investment for the Global Leaders Program is $1,000 per participant. Thanks to the generous investment of the Y Camp community, this program is significantly subsidized to make this international leadership experience accessible to campers. The $1,000 fee covers all program expenses, including leadership training, staff supervision, international travel, lodging, and program-related activities while in Kosovo. This community support allows participants to focus on learning, service, and global connection rather than cost.

PRogram Timeline
During their first week, Global Leader Campers will focus on preparing for their international experience. This time will include intentional leadership development, cultural learning and guided conversations designed to build confidence, awareness and set the foundation for a strong international experience.
Following their week at Y Camp, campers and their Global Leaders Program Coordinator will travel to Kosovo to begin their time abroad. While overseas, campers will engage in meaningful leadership opportunities, immerse themselves in a new culture and gain firsthand experience navigating diverse communities and perspectives.
Throughout the program, campers will be directly supervised by a trained, veteran Y Camp Leader with multiple years of experience working with teen leaders. In addition, campers will work closely with the YMCA of Kosovo and their team, ensuring that safety, support and program excellence remain top priorities throughout the international experience.
